Processing Facility

The processing facility is fully enclosed and is designed, certified and operated to achieve, US FDA, HACCP and European Union standards. Team the quick responsiveness of our highly qualified and knowledgeable staff and you begin to see why North Star has been handling seafood for the leaders in the seafood industry since 1989. We have three production lines that can be arranged to accommodate our customers processing needs. We specialize in red king and Dungeness crab processing as well as salmon and hake. The plant is capable of processing over one million pounds of seafood per month.

Halibut ProcessingOur seafood products and our water supply are regularly inspected by the USDC and FDA.

                       


Cold Storage

North Star Cold Storage provides convenient, cost effective and bonded cold storage for company products as well as commercial cold storage for a variety of goods.

The plant also includes blast-freezing and cold storage facilities and a flake ice maker supplied by our own treated and carbon-filtered water supply.

 

As a potential, new or existing customer to North Star Cold Storage, we thought you would like to know the answers to some of the more frequently asked questions (FAQs):

Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m to 4:00 p.m. Appointments are required.  We can make exceptions to these hours to satisfy our customers needs with prior arrangements.  Please call (425) 778-1816 and ask for the Warehouse Manager to make appointments.

Trucking Service:  It is the responsibilty of the customer to arrange for trucking services. Also all products stored at our facility are on North Star owned pallets. All carriers must provide an equal amount of pallets for exchange or payment for pallets must be arranged prior to loading.
